FULL ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive-Siem Reap (-)

 

Arrive at Siem Reap international airport, Welcome and transfer to hotel.
Moving in tune with the rhythm of the great annual flood of Tonle Sap, we take a boat ride to the village of Kompong Phhluk on stilts. Explore this great ecosystem by way of canoeing and hear the calls of the macaque monkeys while observing the forest beneath the lake’s surface. We will see the Buddhist temple is standing on the island with some beautiful Buddhist life painting on the celling. Overnight in Siem Reap.
 

Day 2: Siem Reap, Angkor (B)

 

Breakfast at hotel.
AM: Visit to temples Banteay Srei (citadel of women) the 10th century temple dedicated to Shiva, built with pink sandstone, on the main interest are the tree central towers which are decorated with male and female divinities, and Banteai Samre¨ a large, comparatively flat temple displaying distinctively Angkor Wat-Style architecture and artistry and many of the carvings are in excellent condition.
PM: Visit to to temples of Kravan the five brick towers were built for Hindu worship in 921 and are notable for the bas-reliefs cut into the bricks on the interior walls, East Mebon is a small temple built in 9th century, in the reign of king Rajendravarman, who named the temple 'Yashodharatataka' (the reservoir of Yashodhara). A thousand years ago, the waters of the East Baray would have lapped around the temple's foundations, but nowadays it has completely dried up. And Pre Rup built in 10th century and is perhaps the best example of temple-mountain style structure. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

 

 

Day 3: Siem Reap, Angkor (B)

AM: Visit to South gate, temples of Bayon is the temple mountain that stands at the center of Angkor and one of the most popular of Angkor's monument and an amazing collection of towers with smiling faces, Ba puon the pyramid shape represents the mythical Mount Meru and marks the center of the city that was here before Angkor Thom, Phimean Akas near the center of what was once the royal palace within Angkor Thom. Phimeanakas means 'Celestial Palace', Leper King and Elephant terraces this terrace was used for viewing public ceremonies and was a base for the King's grand audience hall. The famous lines of elephants are at either end of the retaining walls.
PM: Visit to temple Angkor Wat a temple dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu by King Suryavarman II, who reigned between 1131 and 1150. It is the world famous for its beauty and splendor. In 1992 the UNESCO declared the monument and the whole city of Angkor a World Heritage Site. sun set view from the top of Bakheng hill. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day 4: Siem Reap – S’aem Dist  (B)


After having breakfast will drive about 65 km north-east of Siem Reap to Beng Melea. This temple was built during the 12th century during the reign of Suryavarman II, at about the same time as Angkor Wat of which its layout and style closely mirror. However, Beng Melea is completely ruined and largely overrun by vegetation and competes with Ta Prohm for the “lost in the jungle” ambience. It is a tangle of trees, lichen-covered stones, broken towers and galleries. Many impressive sculptures are hidden among the rubble and the vegetation. Continue to Koh Ker was the capital city of the Khmer Empire during hardly two decades (928-944) during the reign of Jayavarman IV. Two kings reigned in Koh Ker; Jayavarman IV, who probably already lived there since 921, and his son Harshavarman II who stayed on the throne only 3 years, from 941 to 944. Rajandravarman II, Harshavarman’s II son, moved back the capital to Yashodharapura (Angkor) after his accession. The main ruins at Koh Ker consist of an impressive seven-storey sandstone pyramid (Prasat Thom). The second biggest structure of Koh Ker is Prasat Krahom (red temple) built with red bricks and lost in the jungle. The surrounding land was irrigated by the Rahal Baray, similar to, but smaller than, the ones at Angkor. It is believed that over 80 ruins lie in this area. Day 5: S’aem – Preah Vihea Temple – Steung Treng (B)
 

Breakfast at hotel, in the morning departure to visit Preah Vihear Temple: Situated on the edge of a plateau that dominates the plain of Cambodia, the Temple of Preah Vihear is dedicated to Shiva. The Temple is composed of a series of sanctuaries linked by a system of pavements and staircases over an 800 metre long axis and dates back to the first half of the 11th century AD. Nevertheless, its complex history can be traced to the 9th century, when the hermitage was founded. This site is particularly well preserved, mainly due to its remote location. The site is exceptional for the quality of its architecture, which is adapted to the natural environment and the religious function of the temple, as well as for the exceptional quality of its carved stone ornamentation. Afternoon Although it is possible to travel up through Preah Vihear to the waterfall, it is better to cross through Stung Treng because the roads are in better condition and Overnight in Steung Treng.

 

Day 6: Steung Treng (B)


After breakfast, departure to visit waterfalls Lbak Khaon in the north of Cambodia. They know that this is an area where the Mekong River tumbles down 26m of tiered rock-faces at the border of Cambodia and Laos PDR. However, most have probably never had the opportunity to visit there. In the rainy season, when the water levels of the river rise and rise to meet the top of the riverbank, the huge volume and speed of the falls create a spectacular blanket of mist; while in the dry season, when the water recedes, menacing sharp-edged rocks surface. The exposed area of the falls becomes a field of colorful rocks, of reds, blacks and whites. Borey O’Svay is located in O’Savy commune of Thala Borivath district and is one of the most popular ecotourism destinations for both local Cambodians and foreign tourists wishing to experience an authentic Khmer community, and visit Preah Ko temple can be accessed by crossing the confluence of the Se Kong and Mekong rivers. Preah Ko temple is an important historical site in Stung Treng province; it was built in the 6th-7th Centuries, during the reign of King Jayavarman I, in dedication to Brahmanism religion , . Day 7: Steung Treng – Rattanakiri (Banlung) (B)
 

Breakfast and drive back to Rattanak Kiri - another beautiful nature province of north-east side of Cambodia. To reach there, we have to travel by overland around 280km. We arrive there around 2h30hours. The rest of time, we will visit the Yeak Laom Lake - the former volcanic eruption with 50m depth where we can relax, swim and enjoy a panoramic view. Overnight in Banlung - the provincial town of Rattanak Kiri

Day 8: Rattanak Kiri – Andoung Meas – Hill Tribe Villages (B)
 

After breakfast, continue road trip to Andoung Meas district. On the way, we visit Charai hill tribe villages. Arrival there at noon time. Take traditional boat trip along Sesan River to visit Charai ethnic graves in the forest. Picnic lunch will be served. On water back, we visit another Tumpoun hill tribe village. Arrival pier and drive back to the town and visit gem-mining zone on the way. Cross to town, visit Phnom Village to see hill tribe people weaving handicraft that is a good chance for you to find any souvenir on spot. Overnight in Banlung

 

 

Day 9: Rattanak Kiri – Kratie (B)


Morning after breakfast, we drive back to Kratie Province - Home of Irrawaddy Dolphin. To reach Kratie town, we have to travel by road around 250km. After check-in and freshen-up, we depart the hotel and visit to (100-column pagoda), the pagoda which was built since Chenla era in the city named Sampopura. Return to visit the rare Irrawaddy Dolphin - the world endanger fresh water mammal at Kampi, visit Bamboo rice and stay till evening to enjoy sunset there. Overnight in Kratie.

 

Day 10: Kratie – Phnom Penh (B)
Transfer by road to Phnom Penh via national road No. 7 which take 4h30mn. Visit Wat Nokor Bachey and Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey. After, visit the colonial architecture of Cambodia's third city. Lastly, visit Chup Rubber Plantation. Stop at Skun Dist to visit local village and Large dries of Spider, fruits and continue to Phnom Penh.

 

Day 11: Phnom Penh (B)


Breakfast at hotel. In the morning departure to visit to Royal Palace is a good example of classic Khmer architecture found in Cambodia and is the residence of his Majesty King Norodom Sihamony, Silver pagoda is a royal temple cover with more than 5000 silver tiles, its main building houses many national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues. Most notable is a small 17th century baccarat crystal Buddha (the "Emerald Buddha" of Cambodia) and a near-life-size, Maitreya Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds dressed in royal regalia commissioned by King Sisowath. National museum that many of the Khmer's most important work of arts can be found here.

 

Afternoon  Visit to Wat Phnom is Phnom Penh symbol, and a distinctly historical place. It is site on an artificial hillock north of the city. Built in 1434 to commemorate a woman named Penh who reputedly discovered four scared Buddha images, Tuol Sleng a former high school was turned to a torture center and prison during Khmer Rouge that was known as S21. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
