OVERVIEW

Tan Phong island is considered as a hometown of rambutan as you can find rambutan farms everywhere together with many other kind of trees on this fertile land. The attraction is not only from the scenery itself but it is also from the local people.

FULL ITINERARY

The program will start with a visit of Cai Be floating market. Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see how to make rice paper, coconut candy and pop-rice, pop-corn. A delicious lunch will be served at local house. After lunch, we’ll come to Tan Phong island. The boat trip will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood or palm leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an opportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta…

You will biking around the village on Tan Phong island. Biking on village paths will be so amazing to see the local farms, houses, real life and have an opportunity to see farmers picking up their fruits on the ancestral ways in Mekong Delta.  We can also see how they make rice-net for spring-rolls,  sew coconut-leaves for cottage roof and specially see how they wave the dried water-hyacynth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes... Come to visit Mekong garden, enjoy the local music in this garden.  The cruise will be back & end at Cai Be pier.

Our guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel in Saigon. Arrive at your hotel in Saigon in the late afternoon.
